January 28th, 2012 - Over the weekend, Jay traveled to Sydney Speedway (Sydney, Western Australia) for the 2012 Australia National Title event. The event consisted of a two day show with qualifying and heat races on Friday night, and the feature event on Saturday night. In qualifications on Friday night, Cardy was seventh fastest, however, due to his car exceeding the decibel level at 95dba, his slowest lap was counted, which left him 25th best. As a result, he started the first heat in the seventh starting spot and finished seventh. The second heat race found him starting fourth and finishing fourth. The first night of the event also had a mini feature, which counted as an extra heat race, and Jay started 10th in the race, but a flat tire in the first corner resulted in a DNF.

On Saturday night, Cardy started sixth in his heat before finish fifth, which prevented him from locking into the feature, and relegated him to a b-main. With the top six cars transferring to the feature from the b-main, Jay rallied from the sixth starting spot to a fourth place finish, which earned him the 22nd starting spot for the finale. In the feature, Cardy had a great car and was driving through the field, up to the 12th position, when a flat, right rear tire ended his night early. Despite the DNF, Cardy had a great car and was pleased with his ability to move through the field.

The week before Cardy ran at the Kwinana Motorplex (Perth, Western Australia). In the first heat race Jay started 9th and finished 6th, and in the second race he started 8th and finished 5th. In the feature Cardy started 6th and finished 5th.

Jay is now 2nd in the Perth Motorplex Track Championship standings and 5th in the Pro Dirt Late Model Series.

This Saturday night the team will be back in action at the Kwinana Motorplex.

January 13th, 2012 - Over the last couple of weeks the team has been running the U.S. Invasion tour at Manjimup, Collie, and Bunbury.

The first night at Manjimup Speedway, Jay started 8th in the first heat and finished 4th. He started 3rd in the second heat and finished 4th. In the feature Cardy started 11th and had got up to 8th before a hole in the radiator caused a DNF.

The second night was also at Manjimup Speedway, and in the first heat, Cardy started 8th and finished 3rd. The second heat saw Jay starting second before charging to the win. He then won the dash to earn the 9th starting spot for the feature and got up as high as 4th before finishing 6th.

The team then traveled to Collie Speedway with Cardy sitting 6th in points and looking for a good result. In the first heat the air cleaner stud snapped which resulted in a DNF. In the second heat a brake line split and Cardy finished 6th. In the feature Cardy started 13th and got up to 8th before a flat tire resulted in another DNF.

The next night the team headed to Bunbury Speedway for the final round. He started the first heat in the second position and led for most of the race before a late race caution and finished 3rd behind Steve Francis and Jeremy Payne. The 2nd heat Jay started 8th and was running 4th before the main coil lead broke. In the feature he started 11th and got up as high as 3rd before finishing 4th.

The series had many ups and down. A total of  27 races were run over the 4 nights with 21 of them being won by the U.S. drivers and 6 races were won by W.A. drivers. Jay accounted for 2 of the 6 wins so the car was very fast and hopefully the team has gotten their bad luck out of the way.

Jay now have a week off before racing at the Motorplex and then heading to Sydney.
