1January 19th, 2013 - It has been a very busy couple of weeks for Cardy Motorsports, as the team finished the Wild West Tour and decided to head to the east coast of Australia to contest a couple of big races. A non stop 52 hour drive, took the team from Perth to Goulburn in NSW for the NSW title. Jay started the first heat race in fifth and finished third and started the next heat race on the pole before finished third. He started the third heat race in fourth and finished third, which locked him into the feature event in the fifth staring spot.

Early in the feature he dropped back a few spot before advancing to as high as the third spot. Unfortunately a car in front of Jay spun and collected him, resulting in front suspension damage. It was a disappointing end to the night, as Cardy had a car that was very strong at a very interesting track. The track was almost a triangle shape, with long straights, handbrake style corners and a continuous curve down the back straight, a tri oval sort of shape.

The team now heads to Parramatta in NSW for the biggest non title race in Australia, which pays the highest to win and attracts cars from all over Australia as well as America. It goes for two nights this Saturday and Sunday.

1January 2nd, 2013 - Happy New Years from everyone at Cardy Motorsports!

Jay recently took part in three events in four days as part of the Wild West Tour. The first two were at the high banks of the Perth Motorplex, followed by the super-fast clay at Manjimup Speedway. The final swing will be on the tight turns of Collie Speedway.

On the 26th and 27th Jay raced at the Perth Motorplex. On the opening night 26 teams were in attendance, including American's Steve Francis and Devon Moran. Cardy qualified 7th overall in the time trials, which gave him a 5th starting spot for the first race, and he finished 5th. In the next race he started 6th and finished 3rd. In the Feature he started 8th and got up to 5th before a rear shock mount broke giving him a DNF.

On the next night, Cardy started the first race in 6th and ran 3rd, and he started the next race in 6th and finished 4th. He started the feature in 7th and got up to 5th and was moving forward when a car spun in front, and he just tagged him with his right front guard as he went past which cut down my right front tire, which unfortunately resulted in another DNF.

On the 29th Cardy went down to Manjimup 300km South of Perth. He started the first race in 3rd and ran 2nd, and then started the second race in 6th and ran 2nd. He qualified 3rd for the feature race, running in the top 3 all race before his left rear wheel broke and parted company from the car, which caused yet another DNF.

In Mid December Cardy was leading both the Motorplex Track Championship and the Pro Dirt Series, but after this run of bad luck he has dropped back. The team now have a few days off before they head to Collie for the next round of the Wild West Series where hopefully they can turn their luck around.
