1April 19th, 2014 - Over the weekend Jay headed to the holiday town of Margaret River for the final round of the Late Model Pro Dirt Series. The team entered the event in a four way battle for 2nd place in series standings.

He started 3rd in the first race and won, and started 7th and finished 6th in the second race. In the final heat, a win would have positioned Jay on the pole for the main event, as he was passing for the lead he was tagged in the right rear sending him into the wall. "It was a disappointing result as we were well on track for another win as we were the fastest car early on in the night," said Cardy. This brought his weekend to end.

The team had a great season with a win and 5 podiums out of 14 meetings, with one being a second in the State Title, the biggest race here in Western Australia. They finished 3rd in the Motorplex Track Championship and 5th in the Pro Dirt Series out of over 40 competitors.

The team will now look to next season as they prepare for opening night on the 11th of October. Stay tuned for updates throughout the off season.

Jay would like to thank everyone for their support in 2013/2014. "We would not have been able to achieve the results that we have achieved without your support," he added.

1April 12th, 2014 - Jay raced at the Perth Motorplex over the weekend for the last round of the Motorplex Track Championship and the penultimate round of the Pro Dirt Series. In the first of the two 8 lap heats Cardy started 12th and finished 6th and in the second heat he started pole and ran 4th. Earning him the 7th place starting spot for the main event where he finished 6th.

"It was a bit disappointing as we had a right rear tyre go flat as the race went on. I have included a picture of the car as it is falling away onto the right rear and lifting the left front, we were lucky just to finish," said Cardy

This was good enough to secure 3rd for the series in the Perth Motorplex Track Championship, which was a good effort for the year. Jay will now head to Margaret River (350kms South) for the final round of the Late Model Pro Dirt Series. It will be a two night show with heats and the preliminary feature Saturday then a dash and the main feature Sunday.

"It was great to see the crew from Pact Construction down at the track Saturday night, hopefully next time we can get them the win," said Cardy.
