1January 25th, 2014 - Saturday night Jay debuted his new car at the Perth Motorplex. The car had been tested on Wednesday but this was it first race.

Jay started the first heat race in 6th and finished 2nd, and he started the second race in 8th and finished 3rd. This meant Cardy qualified 2nd for the feature, but the highest qualifier elected to start on the outside. As a result Jay started on the pole and got the jump and led for the first half of the race, setting the fastest time of the race three tenths quicker than 2nd place and over a second a lap quicker than the 3rd place and back. Unfortunately Cardy was not aggressive enough passing lapped cars, and he was passed for the lead while navigating traffic. Jay pushed on but was unable to make a challenge back for the lead, finishing 2nd in the feature.
Overall Jay was very excited how the new car performaed. The team now heads to Albany next weekend, 4 hours south of Perth.
Cardy is currently 4th in the Pro Dirt Series Points and 3rd in the Motorplex Track Championship

1January 11th, 2014 - Ellenbrook Speedway (Ellenbrook, Western Australia) played host to Cardy Motorsports on Saturday night. It would prove to be a record-setting night with the hottest temps ever recorded in Perth.

The race was a twilight meeting starting at 4pm with the temperature reaching 47 degrees Celsius (116 degrees Fahrenheit) on the team's temperature gun when they started hot laps. It was still over 40 degrees (104 F) when the feature started at 9 pm.

Heat race action found Jay finishing 5th and 7th, which resulted in him starting 12th in the finale. He would go on to advance to a top ten finish on a very dusty track.
In the heats we ran 5th and 7th giving us a  a 12th place starting spot in the final.  We finished a very dusty race in the top 10.
Cardy is currently 4th in the latest Pro Dirt Series points and 3rd in the Motorplex Track Championship standings.

1January 5th, 2014 - Jay Cardy opened the 2014 season with a pair of events over the weekend. Friday night found him racing at Collie Speedway (Collie, Western Australia) Twenty-four cars made the trip down south, and on Friday Jay recorded a 2nd and a 5th in the heats, which gave him the 13th starting spot for the feature. It was a narrow track and passing was difficult, and as a result Cardy finished 10th.

On Saturday at Manjimup Speedway (Manjimup, Western Australia) Jay finished 6th and 4th in his heat races. Via his performances in preliminary action he started in the 14th position for the feature. Unfortunately early on in the race Cardy had something hit his brake line, and he lost his brakes, which made for an interesting race. Cardy managed to finish 11th which was a save considering the issues he had to overcome..

The team now has this week off before heading to Ellenbrook Speedway this Saturday for the final round of the US Invasion tour.
